How to enable HA on ESX Cluster

I mentioned in one of the previous articles that I don’t want to enable HA at this moment and will enable it later. This is later and Enabling HA is really easy.

Why I didn’t enable it during installation because you sometimes need to disable or enable it to fix some problems.

open your vSphere Client and right click on Cluster and go to edit Settings

How to create a datacentre and cluster in vCenter Server

As you know, we have installed vcenter server and other components. It is now to add hosts to vcenter server. Before adding hosts, you must create a datacentre which is really easy. Connect to vcenter server and right click on your vcenter server name on left menu. When it is created, just rename it.

Vmware vSphere 5.1 vCenter Server Installation- Part 2 / Web Client Installation

When SSO is installed, we can pass second step which is Web client installation I will try to explain in this article.

Open Vmware vSphere 5.1 DVD and click on Vmware vSphere Webclient

As you can see, to install web client, SSO must have been installed.

Vmware vSphere 5.1 vCenter Server Installation- Part 1 / SSO Installation

Open Vmware vSphere DVD on your Windows 2008 or Windows 2012 server and then Click vCenter Single Sign On

Prerequisites are Windows .NET 3.5 SP1 and Windows Installer 4.5 that is required if you use bundled SQL server 2008 r2 sp1.

click on install button and choose the language you want to install
